Michalson Farm
Breeding racehorses and sporthorses for decades, we focus on breeding strong, sound thoroughbreds for racing, and infusing that blood into our KWPN-NA warmblood sporthorses to produce a top, modern athlete.
More About Us
Greg Michalson and wife Gena bought their first Pregnant mare with a foal by her side at an auction in the 70s.
Marian Michalson was surrounded by horses since day one. The family horse business was well established breeding both QH and TB racehorses and standing Thoroughbred Stallion Baba’s Blessing, who would become the foundation of the breeding program.
Hanging out in the pasture playing with foals at every opportunity grew into love for riding after the perfect pony, Splotch, arrived on Christmas morning. At the age of 10, Marian discovered jumping, and has been immersed in the Hunter/Jumper world ever since. Through growing up on the farm, riding the many horses coming in to Stephens College, Pony Club, and a number of working student positions, Marian gained a well rounded education with all types of horses and behaviors. She has competed up to 1.40m, and has a special knack for developing the young horse.
